This year's compition story

The little red taxi shuffled up the hill with the air of an animal running away from a predator. Maybe it felt the same vibes as I did coming from the enormous red-brick building behind me. The building had two wings that seemed to stretch on forever, and it was so far from the city that you couldn’t even see the silhouettes on the skyline. No one to hear you scream. I shivered at the thought and decided to head inside with my belongings.
The foyer continued the spooky theme in a different way. Dazzlingly and felt like a morgue. I hurried over to a notice board on the left-hand wall of the room. On the board were lists. A lot of lists. They all displayed which room each student was in. I quickly found my name, Michigan Brown. Room six hundred and sixty-six. I blinked several times to see if the number would change. It remained the devil’s number.
